The Sky

A Poem

By Prevash Moodley

I look upon thee with sightless Eyes
for ignorance blinds the spirit beyond its Cries
To not know is to not Feel
What once was whole does not Heal

I look upon thee with unmoving Lips
Meaningful words uttered in memory Trips
To live in the past is to lose the Present
What once was a circle is now a Crescent

I look upon thee searching for Me
Amidst the speckles of stars, I long to Be
Existing solely under the shimmer of the Moon
What once was, shall find its way back Soon.
