A Poem
By Shakeel Thomas
(a 14 year old Poet)
When Abraham Lincoln said, “a house divided against itself never stands”
He referred to the kinship who dwelled in it
When dramatic events occur, ties are shattered
Thus, the fragile glass that resembles a relationship is cracked with enmity
And when the glass shatters,
The pillars that hold up the peaceful structure of the home, crumble.
This is known as “divorce”
And when it occurs,
-It destroys the bridge that connects families together
