A Poem
By D.C. Buschmann
If Life Were Half
what you imagine
I’d
ride eagles’ wings
see the firmament part
hear angelic messages
heralded to grounded
mortals
who salt the earth
observe the righteous
protect the young from fangs
of wolves
cloaked in deceit
find peace in
crests troughs
the unknown the evolving
If life were half
what you imagine
I’d
know
Breathtakingly beautiful and elevating, Denise. Kudos. Artistically pure and yet profound, a feature for me of a great poem.
