A Poem
By Joshua Nkwana
I hold onto prayers
that lingers on the neck of your room
my heart squeeze you into a memory
I cannot bring into textures
I saw you rumbling on the chest of your bed
death stood in tears in my eyes
begging you to leave to a place unknown
to existence
dearly father;
I cannot stand the teeth of your grave
or the hymns that only sings of journeys unknown
in my presence,
please…
do live as much as I can live.
