A Poem

By Ridwane Wane Devautour

Memories terribly leaking away
The fathomless truth
The possible get away

I have no hope in my imagination’s redemption
No desire to make it stop its course
I get greatly excited by the ringing of new ideas
No intention of settling on any
My movement is jupiterian

Memories terribly leaking away
The fathomless truth
The possible get away

Iregular knots on a lifeline, a tight rope
Always a new possibility as I go on,
Not quite straight
You see, my bed is an island of fantasies
My house, a boat to an impossible destination
My movement is jupiterian

Let me disappear and please do the same
My attention span is childlike
My lover is a constant itch to move
On that, my survival depends
Remember the victim of the angel statue
If I blink, I die
But I blink anyway
So that something, anything, changes

I am terribly leaking away
The fathomless truth
The certain get away
